This guide explains how to upload, organize, and enhance your videos in Lectful’s Media Library, including adding subtitles (AI-generated or manual) and AI dubbing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Video Media Library

  1. Log in to your Lectful Admin Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Media > Videos.

    • Here, you’ll see all previously uploaded videos.

    • Click “Upload New Video” to add more.

2. Upload a New Video

Drag & Drop your video file into the upload area or click to browse files.

Track Upload Progress:

    • A progress bar shows upload status.

    • Large files may take time.

3. Manage Uploaded Videos

Click on any video to view and edit its details:

  • Title: Rename the video for easy identification.

  • Associated Lecture: Link to an existing lesson (or leave unassigned).

  • Resolution: Auto-detected (e.g., 1080p, 4K).

  • Creation Date: When the video was uploaded.

  • Preview: Play the video directly in the dashboard.

4. Add Subtitles (Manual or AI-Generated)

In the video’s management panel, select “Subtitles”.

Choose an option:

    • AI-Generated Subtitles:

      • Click “Generate with AI”.

      • Select the video’s original language (e.g., English, Spanish).

      • Edit the auto-generated text if needed.

    • Upload Subtitles:

      • Click “Upload” and select a WebVTT (.vtt) file.

      • Assign the subtitle language (e.g., French).

Edit Subtitles: Adjust timing or text in the built-in editor. Edit is done by clicking on the pencil icon and you can delete by clicking on the trash can icon.


5. Use AI Dubbing (Optional)

In the video’s management panel, select “Dubbing”.

Choose a target language (e.g., dub English to German).

Click “Generate Dubbed Version”.

    • The AI will sync the new audio with the video.

    • Preview and download the dubbed version when ready.
